Approval for a Leave can be sought beforehand or requested through the LOA request form. A member of Internal Affairs will inform you of your LOA’s status.
LOA request form submission needs to be at least 3 – 5 days before your actual LOA start date.
In-Base LOA
- A minimum of 30 days is necessary for an In-base LOA.
- In-Base LOA exceeding 3 months requires approval from a Foundation member or iC of Internal Affairs.
- You are not allowed to apply for another In-Base LOA within 30 days (a month) from your last In-Base LOA.
- Your request may be rejected if errors exist in your application.
- If your In-Base LOA has ended yet your inactivity continues, you may lose your badges.
- Members on In-Base LOA must place [LOA] at the end of their motto. If unable to do so, specify that in your In-Base LOA request.
- You may cancel your LOA if you are returning earlier than the end date of your In-Base LOA.
- In-Base LOA for Moderator is determined by the Head of Mods. Moderators are to seek approval before applying for In-Base LOA.
- Extension of LOA must be submitted 3 days before your on-going LOA ends and as long as it does not reach the maximum LOA duration.

Unit LOA
- The approval of at least one Leadership member of the respective unit is required as an approval of your EU/AD/AT LOA request.
- You are not allowed to apply for another LOA within 30 days (a month) of your last EU/AD/AT LOA.
- A minimum of 7 days is necessary for an EU/AD/AT LOA.
- A maximum of 60 days is allowed for an EU/AD/AT LOA.
- EU/AD/AT LOA that’s longer than 30 days requires Internal Affairs iCs to validate the reason and seek approval from the Unit iCs.
- Moderators are to seek approval from the Head of Mods before applying for LOA.
- You are not allowed to apply for 2 Unit LOA(s) with different dates and units at a time.
- Extension of LOA must be submitted 3 days before your on-going LOA ends and as long as it does not reach the maximum LOA duration.

Cancellation LOA
- You are not allowed to perform In-base/Unit work unless your LOA cancellation has been processed.
- If you are applying for a cancellation of LOA for units, you are not allowed to cancel only 1 unit out of the number of units you have applied for.
- Members are not allowed to apply for another LOA within 30 days (a month) from their last cancellation LOA. (E.g. If their LOA ends on May 5, 2022, their next LOA can start after June 5, 2022.)
